OWD provides information and tools to Ohio's workforce system. We interpret federal and state law and serve as primary policy makers for workforce programs. The office administers federal programs that create a comprehensive statewide workforce system of employment services, hiring support, labor market information, and tax credits to employers and workers.
Ohio Here to Help was designed by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services to help Ohio's unemployed workers learn more about the many programs and resources available to them, from both the government and the private sector.
The Employment and Training Administration (ETA) administers federal government job training and worker dislocation programs, federal grants to states for public employment service programs, and unemployment insurance benefits. These services are primarily provided through state and local workforce development systems.

The Area 7 Workforce Board receives funds from the US Department of Labor to provide employment services for job seekers and businesses. The Board is developing its Local Plan for Delivery of Services and seeks public input. Hearings will be held in the following locations at the times indicated and the interested individuals are invited to testify:
