Clarification Issued (09/11/08)

Q. Can local IWT and HB 372 IWT dollars be mixed to offset the employer's training costs?

You are not prohibited from using local IWT funds with HB 372 IWT funds as long as the employer pays 50% of the training, and HB 372 funds do not exceed $1000 per trainee, and $200,000 per employer.

Remember there are two different sets of regulations that are involved and you will have to be able to track accordingly each dollar. Reference WIA Transmittal Letter 22C for local IWT and WIA Transmittal Letter 39 for HB 372.

Congratulations! Area 7 has about ½ of the state's CAA's (250+ customers and more than $500,000 in additional funds to serve dislocated workers!) Kudos to the counties that have advanced the CAA program to its’ current level. Check the CAA record at the top of the What’s New page to see where the accounts are located.
