Trainee Wages Memo Retraction (6/04)

The state issued a memo on 6/2 retracting the policy which restricted customized training contracts from including trainee wages in the cost of training.  Trainee wages can once again be considered a valid employer match for customized training such as IWT.  Click here to view the retraction.

   
 
   
 

SCOTI Coordinator Role (6/04)

The state is changing the old SCOTI "Power User" role into the new SCOTI "Coordinator" role.  Each system within Area 7 may designate up to two Coordinators.  Area 7 needs one person from each system to contact Fran Massie at massief@clarkstate.edu with the two coordinators designated for the system (full contact name, system name, email address, and phone number) no later than Tuesday, June 10.  See the attached document for more information.

Career Advancement Accounts (6/12)

Area 7 counties have certainly taken advantage of the loosened CAA eligibility guidelines.  The new table at the top of the What's New Page displays the county-by-county running total of accounts approved to date.

   
 
   
 

Policies Posted (Supportive Services and Record Retention) (6/12)

Revisions to policy P7-400: Supportive Services was approved at the June 4, 2008 Area 7 Board meeting.  The Policy Tracking Tool has also been updated to reflect this change.

Policy P7-102: Record Retention was also approved at the June 4th Board meeting.  A Power Point presentation on how to manage Area 7's public records can be viewed here.

   
 
   
 

PY08 Youth Providers Approved (6/12)

Professional Workforce Certification Survey (6/12)

A Message From Tom Hutter, Bureau of Local Area Support and Oversight:  As part of the Gold Standard Continuous Improvement Program we are conducting a very brief survey regarding the educational attainment of One-Stop staff and supervisors and their interest in a workforce professional certification program. This survey is being distributed to all of the partner agencies and should be filled out by any staff you would consider a workforce development professional (front line, career counselors, instructors, administrative staff, non-required partners, etc.).

Request for Proposal: Schedule Change (6/25)

In order to be thorough and provide careful consideration for review of all proposals for the Customer Tracking and Funds Management system, Area 7 is delaying the Demonstration/Presentation portion of the selection process.
